Mind sharing how you did it? I’ve been looking for a wearable LED project for a cruise I’m taking in January. This would make quite a statement worn with a tuxedo.

In the mean time, I used 12 WS2812b leds from a 144/meter strip, and a pro trinket from @Adafruit_Industries .
