Some simple shapeoko Christmas ornaments made for a client. All of them are 1/8" thick plywood. The black one is 1/8" thick black acrylic.
F-Engraved with a 60deg v-bit at 0.02" deep.
Wow. These engraving looks really really smooth. Can I know how long such an engraving take per piece?
The engraving was not long at all… maybe a minute and a half for the most parts.
The smoothness comes from the slight bit of sanding done afterwards and like @Steve_Ramsey says “I’ll finish it with a few coats of spray lacquer”
Awesome. I have been ok the fence about v bit but your post make me want more v bits in my life. Do you recommend a specific brand or store for v bit?
Honestly I only have 3 v-bits and two of those came in some router bit kits that I had before I got into the whole CNC machine.
The third one I bought off of Amazon to try out the difference in a 60deg vs the 90deg ones.
Can I have a link to your Amazon purchase? I see that there are different size to these v bit. Which one did you use? Thank you for being so informative. I appreciate your help.
