Someone experienced with PVA? Trying to print it as support but it just melts in the PTFE liner and gets stuck.
Ive tried printing PVA only and it works fine if it keeps extruding. Print well too. Seems like it just expands in the nozzle which not used and the sides (on the ptfe tube) get cold. Well how am I suppost to use it as dualextruding material? Read lots of this issue but found no clue how to fit it.
First layer needs to be warm (220deg). So the possibility of the filament getting stuck in the coldend is high. But even if I set 170 deg this happens. It just gets stuck when the other extruder is printing _.
Do you think PVA would work better in a multi-extrusion system where there’s only one nozzle like the new setup Prusa3D released or the Prometheus System that was recently on Indiegogo?
I don’t know of the Prometheus system, but have seen the fabulous Prusa development. My BCN3D Sigma has independent nozzles and the heat remains active on the idle nozzle. With Prusa, one would have a hot nozzle all the time, obviously, but being able to pull back the PVA filament has merit. A quick Google search shows me that the Prometheus method is similar to Prusa, so the merit applies to both.
