Sometimes, I really just need to take a deep breath,

Hmmm. Target has vacuum sealable food bags and sealers. That would work well. Just toss in a desiccate before sealing.

I think ours was around $1400. There are cheaper options, and you could probably mimic the results by heating up your filament and then putting it in a vacuum jar/bell

That would work well to store them, but it won’t dry it very well if it’s saturated

Because you wish to mechanically separate the water from the filament (via pump and vaporization).

I’ll go get some ABS and measure 10g (with water)…

I just got some PETG and it is awesome stuff… (As compared to ABS which is good for experiments only!)

So it might be a fun experiment to determine how long/how much desiccant/at what temp can equal a vacuum oven at 110F at 27.5?
(I’m sure I can calc by the vaporization of water.)
What level do you take the vacuum? 27.5? 28? 24?

At room temp, no amount of desiccant will effectively dry out some filaments. You need active drying to achieve ideal dry-ness.

We pull between 29-30" in the oven.
