Sorry about the website being down for a while guys. I seems that we got hacked and someone created thousands of user profile pages and my hosting company locked the page. I got them to unlock it finally and just saved the pages we had and am re-installing now. I will be looking into setting the security higher. I initially left it pretty basic in the hopes that it would be easier for people to contribute and add content. But looks like I erred on the side of being too open and not secure enough.
Not a big deal, we will just do better round two. Site should be back up tonight or tomorrow depending on the install time and how long before I fall asleep. lol
I am looking for a few dedicated people to be moderators. The main task will be to approve new registrations, and try to add content as we get it.

Anyway, from my experience secret questions on registration help to get rid of spambots quite well.
Yeah, the fact that information is so fragmented right now is the reason I was trying to get a wiki for this going. I envisioned the wiki being the center of the information. Linking to all the other parts. We could have more formalized releases documented there, and that way new people could have a step by step guide to start with. Then branch out and start doing experimental stuff whenever they want. The google+ would become the most current discussion about topics and not a placeholder for documentation.
Hopefully the secret questions will be good enough. That is my plan. I started uploading the files last night, should have the site back working tonight.

Sorry for the delay. I was fighting with 1and1 and finally got sick of them and moved to bluehost. The wiki is installed and me and a friend are working on dumping the content back. I had hand surgery yesterday and that is slowing me down a bit. if you are interested in helping with the wiki send me a message. i will manually create your account while i figure out the detail for open registration. again, sorry thing are going slower that expected.
