Sorry for the stupid question. For my Hypercube Evolution I ordered lead screws T8x2. I expected to get them with 2 thread starts. Now I got lead screws with 4 thread starts that moves the nut 8 mm on every turn. Did the seller send me the wrong screws, or am I wrong with my expectations?
Depends on the order, i use tr8 on hypercube, same on the 8mm/rev.
Works fine tho.
@rubin_kingma thanks, so you think I don’t need to return them? You have no problems with precision?
T8x2 designates the diameter, 8mm, and the pitch, 2mm (dist btwn threads), but it doesn’t specify the lead (how far you travel in one turn). They usually come in single start or 4 start, which would be 2mm lead or 8mm. You should have no problem with precision with the 4 start screws. But if the screws support the weight of your bed, there’s a chance it could drift down if the Z motors are turned off during a print.
That being said, the 4 start screws are pretty common, so I don’t think people have much trouble with them.
