Speaking of "poor to mediocre" design,

Speaking of “poor to mediocre” design, i discovered a needed a large format 3D printer really quickly to print a set of specific parts, so i chucked this together over the long weekend. dont worry, after about 150hours of printing this will be recycled into a much more polished 3D printer. but currently it’s getting the job done.

Hey, if it works it works. You can put trim around your welded spots to make it look pretty.

Nothing wrong with a welded frame. If the weld distortion can be accounted for then happy days. Hiwin rails to, very nice. Locally bought or cheaper knock offs?
