Spent my first sick day of the year restoring the Printrbot back to a clean little machine. I took a few hours to tear it completely down and clean all the parts, and then reassembled with a few minor changes. The cable mesh and bed setup were also slightly modified as I felt like it needed a few personal touches. I’ll be adding a fan duct and PEI print surface soon, as well as swapping out for a Stealthboard.
Good job.
I just did some maintenance to one of mine today- made a huge difference. New belts and bearings just in case. Now it’s smooth and silent. I was squeezing
glad you got yours dialed!

@Brook_Drumm indeed! Was super easy to tear down. I threw some new GT2 in it but really want to switch the x and y bearings to IGUS bushings.
On a scale of 1 to I need a hydraulic press, how hard is it gonna be for me to get those y bearings out?
That will be hard! I have a box of them I need to refurb. I will design a puller to do it- like a gear puller. Not trivial. Let me know what you come up w
@Brook_Drumm I have a hydraulic press at school. Might just try to press them out there. It sounds like they don’t have much life in them.
