Starting refit of #Takai-San. Surprised all my parts got here so fast the ones from China made it to my door step in 2-3 days! Shipping time beat the ones from the US!! lolol
That’s messed up. Lol.
What size is your delta printer and what diameter are the arms rods ? @kenneth_rooks
@Americo_Foxnegro_Ren printer stands at 5 ft tall round about. Arm length is about 650 mm if I remember correctly. But I’m considering extending them to have a wider reach at the expense of build height.
@Americo_Foxnegro_Ren printer is 1500mm tall with out casing to be perfectly precise
Thx @kenneth_rooks
You do not have problems of stability by the size and that the arms are of small diameter like the structure 2020 profile ? @kenneth_rooks
There is the tiniest amount of flex in the carbon arms but that doesn’t seem to make a big difference. The only stability issues I’ve had are with the open beam carriages. I admit that if my frame we’re not bolted to my wall and have lots of weight on it there would be problems
Oh the outer diameter of the arms are 4 or 5 mm I believe
I try to put together something similar but the floor that is very unestable is 1.70 meters and 600 cm bed
Mine has heavy wood ontop and on bottom and is bolted to them and the stud in the wall.
Only the current open beam rail carriages give me issues. They will soon be replaced with linear railing. Smooth like butter…
I’m moving to metal arms as well @Americo_Foxnegro_Ren . What type of arms and what length and diameter did u use?
@kenneth_rooks Same as using 4 mm arms with 4 millimeter rods of SIL4T / K metal
