Starting to become a real fan of the NinjaFlex! Now my kids can throw these Baterangs at each other without getting hurt!

I did have to curl the NinjaFlex in a pile behind the @MakerBot1 as the infeed was not strong enough to turn the spool… but it was worth it. :slight_smile:

Is this just impla?

Famous last words

Oh, and what you need is some of this PTFE (teflon) tubing: http://www.polyflon.co.uk/ptfe_tubing.html

Hey @Matt_Hale … Will that tubing allow the NinjaFlex to be pulled more smoothly?

@Dave_Durant … What is impla?

Possibly. I know MakerBot don’t use the best PTFE tubing because I’ve had the same problem with PLA. Also it’s worth adjusting the tension screw in the extruder assembly. I had to turn mine several full turns to make the feed reliable enough to leave overnight.

I changed out the extruder assembly to the new one they suggested & sent which is spring loaded instead of the tension screw… which may be part of the problem. I didn’t even think of the tubing though. Wonder if I can just lube it up? Probably shouldn’t say that out loud… :slight_smile:

You can buy PTFE spray! Might work, but probably not very well. It may even clog the hot end.

If you are referring to the feeder tube, you could also go to a larger diameter tube. More space would make the filament slide on a smaller area of one of the sides, making the friction much less.

Inside the extruder you are on your own…

Batman is not so deadly anymore :smiley:

@Dave_Durant It’s TPE.

Frigg the possibilities are endless.
