Step per mm - no effect

Hello

Here is my step_per_mm settings :
alpha_steps_per_mm 106.67 # Steps per mm for alpha stepper
beta_steps_per_mm 106.67 # Steps per mm for beta stepper
gamma_steps_per_mm 800.00 # Steps per mm for gamma stepper

But gamma_steps_per_mm configuration seems having no effect.

Even if I set 200.00, 400.00, 800.0 the moves are the same.

I made severall tests without success.

I hope you can help me.

Do you have a config-override file on the SD card ? Did you use M500 ?

I was editing config.
I tried with commands, M500 to save, and it works, thanks !

About extruder configuration, I use Bondtech QR.

On the faq page I can read E492.45 : bondtech_dot_se/en/faq/

But is does not make sense, it depends of microsteping, am I right ?

As smoothieboard is 1/32 microsteppings, I should set 492.45 x 4 = 1969.80, no ?

I believe Arthur was referring to an over-ride file. Research M500 and “over-ride file” If it is on the CD you cannot change some of your settings. You may have to remove it and not use M500 until you understand what it does.

Well if the steps per millimeters were given for 1/16 microstepping, and Smoothie is 1/32 microstepping, you need to multiply by two, not by four.
