@Stephanie_A This is the trimmer line I’ve been having some success printing with. International brand so you may find it in the states. I’m baking mine at 60 degrees for a couple of hours to remove any moisture.

Beware of the fumes when extruding. Nylon fumes are not exactly healthy.

Update: Seems it isn’t that dangerous. I would still be careful, but extruding Nylon doesn’t seem to cause much problems according to http://m.instructables.com/id/Is-3D-Printing-Safe-or-DIY-Testing-for-HCN-from-/

Due diligence for the win! Love when people link to their sources.

@Matt_Kraemer1 Placemakers or Bunnings… If you can’t find any, I can mail you some. Been looking for the larger rolls as it’s a buck a metre for this length.

Nice - That this prototype Delta I see in your feed? Careful with the fumes, I’m still not convinced it’s benign, certainly doesn’t smell like it’s good for you.

Tell me about the bleeding edge - just about got over the last big hurdle with the BIG Tantillus I’m building. Sooo much wasted plastic doing prototypes.

Fucking hell - what are you building again? Also, thanks for giving me a local person I can direct my wife’s attention too when I submit a business case for the next printer.

No warp, as in heated chamber?

@Matt_Kraemer1 Nice - I was just planning on ignoring the patent as my bot is for my own purposes  If you’re interested in some collaboration/help please do get in touch. Or failing that, if you find yourself in the capital let me know and I’ll buy you a coffee.WRT making pretty things for wifey - she’s not a big fan of plastic :(. At some stage I’ll make a Ceramic printing bot for her.
