Still need to organize my tools and other crap on the floor, but this is officially my LED/other Arduino project work station!! Finally have my own space to do my thing.
Two notes:
a) Too small
b) Too clean

Haha, yeah I agree with both. But having roommates makes even this small amount of private space nice.
I need to build a smaller enclosure for my power supply, build an enclosure for my old car stereo receiver to replace that massive home theater one, and sort through, box up and label all the LED stuff I already have. As well as try to find a place for the $700+ worth of Arduino/LED components I just bought.
Excellent.
If you build yourself a low shelf that the monitor can sit up on then you can push your keyboard back under the monitor for a bit more desk space when needed. Ashley should approve.
@marmil that’s a good idea! I’ll have to look into that.
@Kyle_Halvorson - Looks nice. I would recommend that you purchase the Husky 17 in. Open Tool Tote with Rotating Handle from Home Depot or other stores, It is about $25 and it does a great job organizing your tools and other stuff. You can put it on the floor or in a closet when tools are not needed and you can put it on your desk when tools are needed.
Men and there work spaces

@manny_miller nice! Love the Nixie tube clock!
I like the parts drawers.
@Andrew_Tuline they’re soooooo handy! I have three of those total. But the other one isn’t Arduino/LED parts.
Nice setup! When you crave more surface I highly suggest lifting all that good stuff up to a standing workbench. Much better for your health and get a really high one for detail work! 44-45 inches
I have a standing work bench at my day job, and it is nice. I’m well aware of the health benefits.
@Kyle_Halvorson where did you find the trays? I currently have all my SMD components in bead trays lol
@Kyle_Halvorson looks pretty sick thou! I have the exact same soldering station lol
@Cristian_Martinez I bought them at my local Fred Meyer. They’re made by Akro-Mils, do a quick google search and you’ll find them in SO MANY sizes.
@Kyle_Halvorson thanx man! Im actually planning on 3D printing some honey comb shaped drawers that interlock and are stackabke. Found them in thingiverse
@Kyle_Halvorson heres an idea for you
