Still scratching my head on this one. Using the Prusa calculator to determine the steps per mm for the laserweb test rig, it works out to 26.67 In reality however, I had to set the steps/mm to 130.5 to achieve the proper distance. I am using GT3 belt with a 20 tooth gear, 1.8deg/step stepper motor with a micro step setting of 1/8 All the math points to 26.67, but life wants 130.5 What the heck is going on here?

Does it really matter?

Yup, especially now that I figured out the reason, dip switches were backwards on this stepper driver, reversed everything and now it is correct

Mine was off as well but not by that much calculator said 26.67 had to bump it up to 27.00 to be proper travel

Smart man, @funinthefalls the more you educate and dig into things like this, the more you will know. It assist when you want to change controllers or pulleys to increase speed or torque. All about the effective diameter.
