Successful, but not pretty looking, 1st test print of the Marvin KeyChain by 3DHubs, in duplication mode, on our IDEX DualBot RepRap 3D printer. Exciting days ahead of tweaking slicer settings and calibration to achieve clean and crisp prints.

Coming soon to a crowdfunding platform near you.

Why would you want this? You could just print the same thing twice… Plus now you have a large printer that can only print small things. Unless there is something I’m missing here…

@Kevin_Danger_Powers
Maybe the end game is 100 print heads?

@Kevin_Danger_Powers Reducing time on the mass production of small parts, I’d wager.

45 degree Z Conveyor system would probably be better for continuous production

Yea. This looks like a neat toy but would have limited application. A resin printer would be a better fit.

Assuming a resin material fits the bill.

@Jeff_DeMaagd
You can have a resin formulated to fir the bill.

But resin isn’t some magic process that fits everything with a different blend.

@Jeff_DeMaagd
It’s blend and process.
Resin is a broad term.
You can get a resin to do many things.
I’ve used it to deionize water, and I’ve used it to coat metal.
Whether it is magic or not depends on who you ask.

Well I’m working on a RepRap IDEX. The point of it for me is not to print multiple items simultaneously (completely counter intuitive to the point of 3D printing) but to print any material with PVA support structure. IDEX allows you not to have to worry about Z offset of the nozzles and all that painful calibration.
