Super shaky Video time! Demo of the #FB2020 printing at 80mm/s & 150mm/s travel. I’m not pushing it any harder for the moment, but UI dead happy with the print speed… I’m still working on retraction settings, hence the print being a bit on the stringy side. That coupled with @colorFabb_Filament NGEN stringing a hell of a lot worse than PLA makes it a bit of a chore to get the retraction settings down. NGEN needs a lot of retraction to stop stringing. Still, really happy with the results.

I would be interested in any tips you might have. I am preparing to build mine using the v-slot upgrades fpr X and Y that are on Thingiverse.

what leadscrew is that? it looks like tr8x8?

@Rien_Stouten - it’s an 8mm 4 start 2mm pitch , so 8mm per revolution, not as fine as I’d like, but it works.

@Samer_Najia - prepare all the parts with T nuts, I learnt the hard way… :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks!

@Ax_Smith-Laffin I asked because I have some of the same leadscrews on my workbench, but I hesitate to use them for my z-axis, because of the pitch. I’m affraid my bed would drop down as soon as the stepper motor is diasbled. No problems with that?

@Rien_Stouten - not at all. I don’t have an Aluminium plate on so it’s just the weight of the glass heater and extrusions.

@Ax_Smith-Laffin
okay, thanks. My weight is a bit more, but since I’m using three motors,… it’s worth a try.

No worries, should be fine with the 3 though
