Supports, my ABS don’t need no stinking supports! I can print out in the air.

I’ve done the same with pla. It’s not fun but works ok

I’ve printed the same thing! Thingiverse leaning tower? I don’t remember the thing number.

It must have been really hard to model all of that stringy stuff, so finely! I think we’ve all had prints turn out like that. I forgot to turn on supports for a thing earlier, and ended up with a bit of spaghetti before I cancelled it.

only when you don’t really want to though right?

How did you loose that many steps in the X or Y axis?

Maybe over driven drivers getting gradually hotter?

@Jorgen_Vendorf My guess would be too much stepper current. Since it was fine until about halfway up, it would seem that the motors or controller got too hot and started missing. This is further supported by the missed steps getting progressively worse. Hot motor has greater resistance in the windings. Hot controller goes into thermal shutdown.

Thanks @Chapman_Baetzel , I had the same pattern, with a broken ball bearing and also once, because the print folded upwards and the nozzle pushed i to the side and slipped over.

No missed steps or anything like that. My Oni-Hbot is very reliable and stable. The part came lose on the bed when I wasn’t around.

Doesn’t need no thought control either.

Printed on a cardboard bed too, what is this witchcraft???
