Swapped out the Windows 8 tablet for a 15 inch touch monitor and a older Dell core2 quad box. The tablet worked but the 10 in screen was a bit small and it was slow.

It he reason to change is only the screen, or the tablets is not enough of power

The tablet was slow. It worked fine and the machine cut good parts but tasks like regenerating tool paths in Mach were really slow. The tablet was an dual core atom.

Atoms have great latency timings. They are the premier hardware to run LinuxCNC on these days.

@Paul_Frederick With Windows running on it it is slow. I have a Intel NUC running my media center and it runs great with a atom and Linux.
