Switching all my printers to Mic6 whenever I find a deal on a sheet

Switching all my printers to Mic6 whenever I find a deal on a sheet that’s useable. Last week I found a 250x310mm sheet of 1/4in. for 2 for $28 shipped. I haven’t been able to print lately and for very good reason. Check out how warped my 6061 bed is in the first picture… Mic6 after for comparison.

Where did you find such a good deal?

@Geoffrey_Forest this is the one I bought- all of mine have been eBay purchases so far. I just look around till one pops up. Usually they’re cutoff pieces that they want to get rid of. http://www.ebay.com/itm/25-thick-CAST-Aluminum-MIC-6-Alcoa-Flat-PLATE-10-25-x-12-QTY-2-sku-136644-/232252958327?hash=item36135ae677:g:pJoAAOSwdGFYsfEv

ATP-5 or just cast aluminum plate might be worth looking at too. Mic-6 is Alcoa’s branding, there are plenty of worthy competitors that offer equivalent material.

@Griffin_Paquette good to know, thanks

MIC6 really worth the money. I just completed the silly action of sanding (by hand) a cheap Chinese bed from 0.6 to 0.1. Measured the full bed profile with g30. Using the delta printer to measure means it is also corrected for the delta print locus. Took me two days. Never again! Moving to FSR and a glass bed soon.
