Table built (torsion box) on top of solid maple table. Added shelves and control enclosure, Y axis rails mounted. Just need the Ox plates now to continue the build.

Thanks. Using the torsion box made the table very straight and true. And mounting the rails on the side eliminates 99% of the Y axis flex, being supported all along the entire axis. I have +Peter van der Walt to thank for that idea. @Alex_Krause has made me the OX plates, they will be here in a few days. This build will be the test rig for LaserWeb, will be testing various controllers with the LaserWeb software.

I made a huge torsion box workbench once. I love that design. When I think about torsion box now, it’s almost like a 3D-printed slab, with a box infill structure.
