Talking about flatening work space this is result for my cnc, alluminium test 10x5 cm deep 0,4 mm

I think I need higher resolution images to see what is going on here.

I dont have dslr camera, this is the highest resolution on my phone, as you see in the right corner down my drill bit not touching alluminium and now l know need a litlle trick to put my bit on collet so my drill bit not swing aroung, lm use 2mm drill bit and get 2,4/2,5 mm on alluminium l dont have digital caliper to measuring that.

@sandi_waktu Do you mean setting tool height? Because if you do then you can do that with your machine itself and a feeler gauge of some sort. Your machine will tell you where it thinks the bit is, then with a gauge and by using offsets you can set where it really is. A regular sheet of paper is about 0.1mm thick.

No l know how to set tool height,its all by my fault lm using hand saw to cut that piece of allu leaving raise “l dont know in english” cut in the edge lol,

@sandi_waktu you leave a burr?

Yups, burr in the edge while you cut alluminium/steel with hand saw, my goal only for cutting alluminium so its not really maters for me but l will learn to v carving in flat area,

@sandi_waktu You need a file to remove burrs. We call that deburring.

I have some like this and rotary blur drill set,but the result not very good if using drill pcb or dremel,still need use sand paper to make it clean, umm l will try it on my cnc ?
By the way l need to buy switching power suplay for my 300w spindle,now only 24v 4a its mean lm only have 6000 rpm,its to slow for milling alluminium especialy on corner side.

@sandi_waktu I have a 500W air cooled spindle and I think it is too slow too. I think it is rated at 12,500? Rotary tools spin much faster than that though. But the spindle I use is pretty quiet. It pretty much does the job too I guess? just wish it ran faster than it does. But if it went faster it would make more noise. I was using a router but it would bother me with the racket it made. I mean really bother me. To the point where I was willing to buy this spindle. The router was much more powerful though. Supposedly it is only 600W but I’d say it is easily 5 times more powerful than the spindle I use now. I should probably try to get new bearings for that router. I was hoping that spindle was going to be better before I bought it. The ER 11 collet it has is nice though. Collet selection with the router is much more limited.

The picture is of a deburring tool for a die grinder and however I guess technically accurate. These are generally used on steel and are too aggressive for aluminum.

@Chaotic_Logic I’ve heard them called rotary burrs, or rotary files. For most deburring I use a plain old hand file myself. The good old flat bastard. I do have a bunch of die grinders and rotary files though.

12.000 rpm and slowing down when touching work area depending on feedrates,that on datasheet l dont know for sure,actualy fast or slow it not doesn’t maters as long is in right altitude for yours machine, lol you must see my machine on action its very noise https://youtu.be/qroP_Dwl3v0

@sandi_waktu there is some strange pulsing oscillations in the audio of your video. Unless your machine actually sounds like that? It is also very hard to determine the sound level in a recording when there is nothing to compare side by side in the recording.

Its sound from screew driver becose not centre with nut,my father talk to me and lm not hear that in the video, l think my frame cnc is perfect steel sound resonance, only 3x6 cm thicnes 2mm, l was plan to change my screew driver with belt sistem to make my stepper happy since l realize lm best design machine in the world XD, see my nut its nightmare even lm using 2 nut in each side to holding force from structure with small face on nut, lol

@sandi_waktu you have no support on one end of your lead screw? That can make the screw flap around a bit.

Yups, its little dificult for adjusting in line with nut if using suport in end screw, for now l think is fine,by the way now my cnc is alredy make product for me,its only temporary after at least one mount l can buy fabrication cnc, l have good market for my product and this cnc make my production increast 5 time before this, thats way my father smiling all day lol
