Make sure you reload your cache as well in your browser, like do a hard reload of the webpage.

I started seeing a solid black 3d view on both Firefox and Chrome, on multiple machines using the grbl workspace. It started yesterday. I was updating drivers, clearing caches, etc until I noticed it was happening everywhere. Changes?

Consistently seeing “Uncaught ReferenceError: THREE is not defined(…)” in the console. Not sure if that’s related.

Ok. They did update three yesterday. Keep hitting reload to get the 3d viewer to load first until I can fix references everywhere.

That seemed to work last night, but now it seems just broken. I can’t get it to work even after clearing the cache. I forked the widget on github but how do I use my fork in the grbl workspace?

Refreshing eventually worked but it took quite a few tries.

You have to make your own workspace. Watch video on home page.

Try it now. Updated references in 5 different widgets that all depend on Three.js.

I’m still seeing it in both Chrome and Firefox. Cleared caches, local storage, restarted, etc…

Ahh, you’re using Grbl workspace. That is maintained by @raykholo so let me see how he’s doing.

Still alive. Will check on /grbl momentarily.

Ok, thanks. I can probably help more later… I forgot how clunky UGS is in comparison!

Was able to replicate. As Chris said, Three not defined. Will be digging into this as soon as I can.

Ray, you need to change all Three.js references to this in the require.js section. So in Grbl Auto-Level and Grbl Touch Plate. The 3D viewer is the one from TinyG so that one is fine. Three: ‘https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/three.js/r76/three’,

Actually, just fixed it. I forgot you gave me repo access to https://github.com/chilipeppr-grbl/

I was having some intermittent black screen there for a while but I just refreshed it a bunch of times and seems to be working now. Since the workspace itself does not ‘require’ any of the dependencies, any fixes John made to the 3dViewer and other widgets should have propogated.
I’ll keep an eye on it throughout the day, and keep me posted on.

John, just saw your comments from the last 10 and 5 minutes. No wonder it magically started working around that time.

Thanks John and Ray! Looking good here.
