Test print for hollow hinge with joint for routing cables. Need add a swinging lock mechanism to the bottom half that snaps the grooves into alignment. #notglass
Will those tabs be strong enough?
@Dale_Dunn The tabs are holding up pretty well, that said, there will be a swinging locking arm that will snap in a sizeable bridge with 3 male columns into the female grooves across the top & bottom halves of the joint. The tab & tab keyed retention space on the top are mainly there to hold things in place before that locking piece is engaged. Oddly enough the retention space in the top cylinder is more likely to crack than the tabs from the bottom. It needs to be a few mm thicker.
