Test printing output made with my company’s 3D printer. My company, Stellamove’s 3D printer use Arduino DUE board and DC motors with encoder instead of stepmotor.

That is ridiculously clean

Yeah right!.. it cant be this clean…

Is it possible to print soap bar statues using this technique? The bull’s color made me think of soap, and the object is prettier than many pressed and molded soap statues. Soap statues sell really well as a gift.

@Emanuel_Chester Sorry, printing material is PLA. But 3D printing technique can be used to build mold for soap.

@Joongho_Choe Thank you. Yes: with a sufficiently accurate precision and using a printing material that can withstand the heat of fresh soap, that would be a viable option. I know that the PLA gets heated to get pushed through the printer nozzle, thus some temperature comparisons should be part of material selection.

Interesting aproach using dc motors, finne work ! Is it open source ?

@Rodrigo_Bugni Thank you for your interest. It isn’t open source right now. It has introduced a new algorithm for DC motor control and closed loop positioning feedback system and be continued for improvement.

What speed was the bull printed at? Layer height?

@Barry_Wilson Sorry, I don’t know exact time because printing for weekend at office. Maybe about 28 hours? 350 X 110 X 150 mm size, 0.2 mm height and 5% infill.

Really impressive
