testing bed mesh levelling. FSR at hotend appear to be working quite nice. I’m a bit worried about the right side of the bed where the x axis overhang toward the end of the arm there seems to be a visible deflection when the z probe down. not sure if additional offset need to be set to compensate for the deflection…
Yes, definitely looks like deflection… Try a “G29 S” to gather some simulation data and see how it looks.
Awesome looking printer… What’s the software you using in the video to view the bed mesh leveling?
it is called Redeem from @Elias_Bakken Replicape
So a couple things going on here. Mostly mechanical.
The three LM8UU used on the Y axis is not on the same league as the x axis @Mark_Carew_OpenBuild rail. Love the sound it makes on that x travel but the y travel makes me cringe… They are loud… TMC2100 is pointless if LM8UU is present.
The mesh was defined by 9 points but the samples on the right side of the bed contained too many error due to combination of bed deflection at the unsupported corners of the bed + x arm at far end is easier to deflect than near z axis.
I think with this crane setup, a 3 point bed leveling is more appropriate than 9+ points mesh.
Nice I won’t it
