Testing out slicing with Cura on my MendelMax. Looks like using the retraction setting makes a huge difference. Adios strings!
Care to post your settings? I have a Mendel max 2 but mine doesn’t look that good. Great work!
0.1 mm layer, 0.8 mm shell, retraction on, 1.6 mm top/bottom. 0% fill. 60 mm/s speed. Temp 180. Bed 65.
I use 3 mm filament which is actually 2.85 mm at 100% flow. Nozzle size is .35 mm.
Retraction is 45 mm/s at 4.5 mm. Initial layer 0.2 mm.
Travel speed is 150 mm/s with the bottom layer speed at 20 mm/s.
Cooling is on at 100%. I have two 40 mm fans.
Those are pretty much all the settings from Cura. Hope that helps.
