Thanks to the fine folks at igus Inc.

Thanks to the fine folks at @igus_Inc and the other fine folks at @MISUMI_USA My printer project is well underway (or will be, when I return from vacation).

But now I need a name. It’s got Ingentis parts, but it’s not an Ingentis, it uses @Shauki concepts, but it’s not a Quadrap, it’s got a 12x12x18 build volume, but it sure ain’t a Makerbot Z18.

I’ve been poring over Latin translation sites but the whole IngenEusthatheos thing is eluding me, as is the Imperfect Future Subjunctive tense.

So, I could call it the 40Meg (40.5 million cubic millimeter build volume), the 2600 (cubic inch build volume) I could call it the Metaprintr, as it’s got lots of bit of other printers, or Bob the Builder…because trademark infringement.

But it will include Igus parts, and I will document my findings, as their Drylin technology seems pretty darned nifty!

I guess ‘Miller Time !’ is out of the question too. Get some scrabble tiles spelling out the influences, shake them up and spell something…

MillerBagdadigus? MillerBigdadigus? Mikesumigus? MikesumiReprapigus? Megaglidr? Bigrbot? Megaquadrapobot? Megultimaker? Extrudoking? Bigrbadrbot? Slidomakr? SliderCube? Extrudocube? This took me about 30 seconds…I can do this all day.

Wow. Please stop. #NoNotReally

@SirGeekALot MillerBigdadigus has my vote !

@William_Frick my pick is the MillerTime printer. Something tells me that may lead to wobbly prints. Either way thanks for the reminder.
