Thanks to @Thomas_Sanladerer excellent guide I now have automatic bed tramming/levelling/teilt compensation on my @nop_head Mendel90

My bracket is here:

My printer is modified with an E3D but the bracket should also work with the regular J Head (let me know if it doesn’t and I’ll adjust the file).

Thomas’ video if you haven’t already seen it is here:

For those wondering about the bed I am using its a metal infused PRINTinZ plate, more details here:

My modified/configured Marlin firmware is here but obviously you will need to adjust this for your particular setup, my Mendel90 is modified quite a bit:

For those wondering about how I modified the printer for the E3D including the fan duct and wiring check here:

Is that a 50mm fan?

Its the standard NopHead fan, yeah 50mm I think.

Good luck

Does the printinz plate by itself trigger the prox sensor?

Yes, I have the metal infused version.

So it will trigger just off the plate even if it’s glass underneath

Yes that’s right. I think its copper infused?

@Wayne_Huthmaker what is it you infuse the PRINTinZ plate with? I found it worked really well with the sensor.

It has a very thin layer of copper just below the outer skin on both sides. There is about.030" of material above the copper.
