Convenient, sure. Lets see their prices. High prices make things that are convenient, suddenly much less so.

@Rojer_Wisner We are testing the 3D printer in six stores, depending on how well the test goes is where we will decide how we want to expand across the country.

We can’t give a precise cost for 3D printing because every print job will be different and will have a different size and dimension. The more complex and the larger the item is, the more costly it will be. If the object is small, the cost will be low and it will print quickly.

@UPSstore, I didn’t see where the first 6 locations will most likely be. Will the Sacramento metro area be so lucky? Or will the trend for placement be more towards megalopolis areas to start?

@Rojer_Wisner San Diego and DC are the first two locations, we will be sharing the other four very soon. We will post on our website and social pages. We hope it is in Sacramento for you to use! Do you know what you would print?

@The_UPS_Store Despite of the city, the 3D printing services should be located near schools of design and arts like @SCAD_The_University because students are always in need for these services all year around for projects. Besides our facilities, our nearest 3D printing services are in Atlanta, but it’s inconvenient for us because we have deadlines and can’t afford to wait for shipping and delivery.

@The_UPS_Store I would either be printing the final parts and pieces to an iteration of my model or as a full piece. However, I have had +i.Materialize print out for me and I have spoken with a +Shapeways rep also. So price and convenience (proximity) would have to play heavily in my decision.
