that’s how you get approval for your next filament(exotic) roll and to continue keeping the printer :)) from the better half… printed in pla ( to get dimensions right )

@Michael_Johnson https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2379479

Why do you say “to get dimensions right”? Do you plan to use something else to print another? And why? Pleasr assume I know little of 3d printing.

@Ken_Kthulhu i meant to get sharpness in details as the part is very small and abs is much harder to print. later on i will use petg . also pla is cheaper to make all trials

I’ve only found less than $2 difference between rolls of pla and petg. I have skipped the pla tests. In a 1kg roll the savings are so small, and the pla parts end up as waste anyway

@brian_alley for rough prints i use ultra crappy 6$ pla rolls . no petg can beat that price… :))

Yeah i haven’t found any worth using that cheap.

@brian_alley the only way to use these rolls is with a filament jam sensor ( some of them have knots and some just have brittle parts which tend to snap) … usually i hit 1 or 2 snags in a single roll but the sensors pauses and waits … sure on final prints i wont even touch them…

Nice
