I can blame only myself. When I want to use new E3D V6 silicon socks on the old layout V6s (so with extra cut off), I should fix it with the wire. :wink: (After some time the sock softens and the mishap begins.)

So, next time…

Wrap some kapton tape around sock so that won’t happen again.

Just grab a new block and thermistor. Well worth the upgrade.

@Ax_Smith-Laffin I have the new E3D V6 on the other i3 MK2, so will upgrade the old one occasionally.

For thin wire becareful not to short out the heater wire then.
