The 20x4 LCD’s such as Geeetch sells that is compatible with Ramps. The interface cables are not very long. Is this done for specific reason. I would like to replace them with some about 4 times as long. Has anybody tried this? I don’t see why it wouldn’t work other than Emf or something like that.

Cable length will limit the speed at which the display can be driven due to extra capacitance between signals and ground causing delays and crosstalk. This might require using a slower clock source for a hardware-based interface or introducing additional set-up delays for a software-based one (although software-based interfaces do run somewhat slower). Simple answer is to try it.

Thanks for the input. i plat to try it i was just seeing if anybody had tried it.
