Some people have converted their ultimaker to climb up the wall instead of moving the build plate. This way they can theoretically build objects with almost the same height like the room.

You are correct, it is upside down, got a very long Z axis (3000mm travel), a big hole in the bottom, a short bowden with a flying feeder and a bunch of mods
