The G-Rap Jr. build had been quiet for the last couple days but should pick up (and conclude) very shortly. I have two more printed parts to design (bottom mounts and a slight revision to the z bearing holders. Finally finished what the X axis will look like.
One problem with the original G-Rap was the flex induced by the X belt. This caused the whole printer to flex unless braced. I fixed that with this one by directly and tightly attaching the rod with the motor and idler so that there will be no flex. It’s also shorter so that should aid in getting a flex-free frame as well.
