Love this stuff, permanent surface and very low maintenance. Just wipe down with soapy water when cold if stuff stops sticking and away you go.

How does it compare to PEI? I like my PEI for PLA but abs seems a bit more hit/miss
Can’t compare as I’ve never used PEI. Unless you import PEI for 3D printing is a pain to get hold of here in the UK. That being said ABS sticks well.

For PEI in UK just buy from Prusa or Amazon .com, Use both PEI and Printbite find PEI better for ABS and Nylon and Printbite better for PLA and PETG. Buildtak is the only surface i can get Polycarbonate to stick to properly without warping.
@Gareth_Price - I’m guessing it’s the Gizmodorks PEI you’re meaning?
honestly cant remember will need to check back 2 years on my amazon account, was a 300mm square sheet for i think it was £30 bought 2 at the time but since then have just bought the sheets from prusa. Printbite from jason at flex3drive and buildtak from ahem equivalents from aliexpress 
Yeah, I’ve been eyeing up the Gizmodorks stuff on both eBay and Amazon. Not a fan of Buildtak as it’s not a permanent surface and don’t really have a need for printing PC…
