SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY

@Sanjay_Mortimer What nozzles does this kit come with? I’m trying to figure out how many extra of what I need/want.

And is it 1.75mm?

Wonder if it’s too heavy to run on a GUS Simpson?

@Nathan_Ryan Good questions. It’s 1.75mm only, and we’ll be supplying it with 4x 0.4mm nozzles as standard. - I’ve updated the description accordingly.

@Patrick_Ryan I imagine it’s fairly light, given there are no extruders or fans.

Hmm now I HAVE to build another printer - my old v5 E3D will need a new home.

Order done.

Stick it on your Simple?

Are there plans for a 3mm option in the future?

@lynnroth 3mm would have size implications that are non-trivial. Additionally, from sales records I see that 1.75mm Bowden hotends are outselling 3mm Bowden hotends at a rate of 5-to-1.

I’m not saying 3mm isn’t ever going to happen. It’s just that while we are in Beta and seeing how demand is 3mm doesn’t make sense.

Definitely getting one of these! Were building a mega Bukobot-style printer to conquer some really big prints & this could be interesting to include if possible.

@lynnroth Curious as to what you see as the benefits to 3mm in this sort of Bowden config?

@Patrick_Ryan Thought about that, but the Ubis hotend that came with seems to be fine for the Simple. It would be a waste to put the E3D on there.

I am hoping for the 3mm version when I build my next printer. Filaments like Ninjaflex may not be workable in a 1.75mm bowden. Not sure of the mechanical design yet but would it be possible to mix 3mm and 1.75 ends in the Kraken ?

@Nathan_Ryan , like @William_Frick , i was thinking about the flexible filaments. Perhaps bowden just isn’t the right mechanism for those though…does anyone have experience with that combo?

Well… I guess that seals the deal… Looks like I’m buying one of these and building a Tantillus.

…you guys are so awesome

payment sent

Im relatively new in the 3D printing realm and this is furthering my NEED for a printer!!

@Sanjay_Mortimer
Have you talked to any of the slicer application owners about a small tweek to allow you to alternate nozzles between infill layers? Really keen to see what happens if you use tglase as an an every other layer infill with ABS perimeters. Should allow for abs surface quality with lower warpage…
