The Manga Screen 2 has just gone live on Kickstarter,
so people looking to get Toggle (an embedded 3D-printer interface
made for small touch screens using @OctoPrint as backend) can finally
get things going again! I’ve used some time to make Toggle compatible
with the big (1080p) screen, but some work still remains to add
a custom JSON ui file for the small (720p) version. I know a lot of
people have asked for this, so now is your chance to get an original https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1924187374/manga-screen-2
The price of shipping is calculated instantly with the backing process. Not too high and there should be no other extra cost inside EU I (really) hope.
Backed. I love the 3d printing example. I’m interested to see how it compares w the official 7" pi screen. But for other platforms, like CHIP, this could be cool!
Brook
@Brook_Drumm Awesome! The PPI (Pixels Pr Inch) is way higher than the official RPi display, and the touch chip is Synaptics which I doubt they have. But I welcome the comparison : D
@Uday_Kumar_Adusumill You should be able to add one more pledge after the fact! If not, add the additional funding for an early bird and I will make that happen for you : )
Where did you get that 3d printing interface? I’ve been looking for a solution of touch+ high res screen + octoprint for my higher end printers coming soon (Printrbelt, escher, prosthetics bot, etc). We should talk
@Brook_Drumm I made it! It’s called Toggle and as far as I know its the only interface with a hardware accelerated 3D preview of the model. Yes, I’ll shoot you an email:)
