The new filament from Taulman also readily accepts dyes just as before it looks like!
@Loren_Brandenburg dyed post-print.
What material is this?
@Matt_Kraemer , PCTPE as far as I’m aware. @Mike_Smith ?
hi… i make jewelry… and think 3D printing is wonderful. I have some questions and wonder if I could contact you in some way that is not quite so public…??.. I can be reached c/o: roxyandrbe@gmail.com
what caught my attention here is the idea of having a material that can take dyes…making it so a piece can be made in a variety of colors…one question has to do with the choice of materials to use that would be best for my jewelry designs.
I live in San Francisco…in case you can give me some local people to contact…(in case you cannot help me…you must be very busy!!).
one other question has to do with producing and marketing my designs…i have some designs that i believe will sell well…in past years i designed and sold art glass - and art materials (polymer clay) on a national and international basis…but need to now find someone to work with that can help me in the production end of jewelry and also in the marketing aspect …since i will be going into making ‘mass produced’ pieces of jewelry…instead of custom work as in the past.
i have read some of your posts and enjoy reading them…quite ‘refreshing’
thank you,
rickie beth
Sorry @Rickie_Beth_Epstein , I don’t really do private education. If you’ve got questions, then I’m sure other people have those questions, and answering them privately is a waste of everyones time.
@ThantiK
thank you for your reply… did not mean to waste anyone’s time… i just thought that my questions deserved the respect of having a teacher that got paid for their time… as jewelry questions don’t seem to be a favorite topic of many of the people that know a lot about 3D printing. You all seem very busy…and I am jsut at the start of my 3D esperiences…and you seemed like a person that has a great amount of information…again, thank you…Rickie Beth
Jewelry questions are in fact a pretty favorite topic. I have a large portion of people in my circles who are interested in 3D printing for jewelry purposes. If you have questions, ask them publicly and I will answer them. I will not answer them for the purposes of keeping information proprietary though.
