The Printrbot comes with a Raspberry Pi and TinyG pre-built into it. What’s really cool is the Raspberry Pi seems to have the Serial Port JSON Server pre-installed on it, so you truly just turn the thing on and connect to it from ChiliPeppr without any fuss! @Printrbot

This is exactly the setup I’m looking to do on my ShapeOko. I really want to abstract out the printer from whatever machine I use for gcode sending and control. And to the previous commenter, I agree! Programs like LinuxCNC and chilipeppr have given us awesome open source tools for sending gcode. Now we just need something for Cam. I’ve been really impressed with f-engrave for carving. If you could somehow combine 3 or 4 programs like these with inkscape or something like it, it would be ground breaking.

i should say i haven’t really used jscut yet, but it looks like the most promising thing out there.
