The problem with what is currently seen as “3D printing food” is that it’s not actually making any food, it’s just reshaping ingredients that are already fully prepared. Like the rolls that printer makes: what advantage is there to having a machine that reshapes proprietary dough cartridges into roll-shaped things instead of delivering the dough pre-shaped into something that actually looks tasty? I simply don’t see the added value of why you’d want to print your food that way.

This isn’t necessarily true… when a burger was “3d printed” it was essentially created by cow stem cells… there are multiple technologies out there, don’t forget… of course, that burger cost more than my house, but it was the first of it’s kind.
