The recent work to bring CAM functionality to @FreeCAD has been merged in to the main branch. This is great news!!

What functionality to the user does it have in it’s current state?
Does it have an API and user -documentation somewhere? (I’m not sure what the requirements in FreeCAD are to be merged into the main trunk.)

I sadly know that there are no code style requirements to have any real comments.

Does FreeCAD support Imperial measurements yet?

@Daniel_Wood
Yes when I checked the documentation then there was no indication the feature was more than proposed. I will wait for the 1.0 release. Then all of the features should be in place. I am in no rush.

@Daniel_Wood That’s not on the FreeCAD site but your personal repository.

@Marcus_Wolschon The link is to the github of @Yorik_van_Havre who as been leading the development of the path module. You can also ask questions in the forum: http://forum.freecadweb.org/viewforum.php?f=15&sid=e93c877073fda60141ec58a61755be74

@Daniel_Wood I know and it still should be on the FreeCAD site after it has beed merged into the trunk. Nobody checks thge personal repsitories of dozens of developers to get a documentation on an API or a user experiencable feature in an app. They check the website where the application comes from.

@Marcus_Wolschon We’re talking about the master DEVELOPMENT branch. This merge just means it’s ready for the community (and anyone else interested in helping) to take a look. Documentation is a great place to help.
