The wait is over…finally my Anet A6 is here

Good luck! You have an interesting road ahead…

Thanks, my first attempt to assemble this machine. I am just praying hard that they have good qc and that I will not have any missing part or bad components. BTW is there a difference between x and y stepper motor? As I may have accidentally rip off the label… Oops

on my printer all steppers are the same. Take the time and trouble to read all you can. G+ is good. If there are Twitter and/or Facebook groups for the A6 follow that, so you can learn from fellow A6 users. Also look on YouTube, there are several people doing really good video series: Tom Sanlanderer, Makers Muse, Printing Professor and more. Don’t be too hasty, do proper and careful assembly and spend enough time on calibration. Google “youtube 3d printer calibration”. See also here: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/print-quality-troubleshooting. There are also quite a few nice books on 3D printing by Apress and Packt - although some of these books are a bit old now. The always remember Google is your friend…

Thanks for taking time to write all these details

If you want the acrylic look, don’t wait until after assembly to take the paper off… it’s a pain. If it has slots to hold the nuts like my A8 did, put masking tape on one side of the slot, slide in the nut, then cover the other side of the slot with tape. That way you can move the pieces any way you want without losing any nuts.

And welcome to your new addiction.

Thanks for the tips, the nuts is so small for my big hand, I will try out your method and its really very practical

Hahaha… No addiction I will manage it… Family and work still come first. But it’s really interesting machine. I started off with md3…but its too small
