There is somebody who is member of your FASTLED group or co-founder who know about my IDEA and decided to copy my idea and put it right now on Kickstarter web site. That is copyrigh infligment and I can proove it. They should stop to do that kickstarter now or I will take MAJOR LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THEM.
This little person seem to have no respect for victim like me which my idea has been stolen. I talked to the co-founder of this community abotu my idea. and it wass the same date that the competitor with same idea appeared on kickstarter with 2812b chipset for that specific idea.
This sounds pretty frustrating!

We’re pretty committed to helping the greater Maker community, open source and otherwise. FastLED ships as a standard component of several products now, some of which got their start on Kickstarter.
Deliberately commercializing someone else’s idea without involving them isn’t very nice, and I don’t support it, but that kind of behavior is also often within the letter of the law. (I.e. Product ideas are not protectable intellectual property under US law; basically only patented inventions, registered trademarks, and copyrighted works are protectable – not ideas.)
@Daniel_Garcia and I both have a long history of keeping secrets we’ve been asked to keep; it’s a point of honor.
If someone has copied an idea, or independently come up with it, the only BIG way to “beat them” is by marketing a better product and doing a better job of it. Frustrating, but often true.
That said, we’re still open to talking about whatever you’d like to, on any level.

I love the fact that I just put a clock together like that totally on my own— good ideas are good ideas— and are often obvious ideas—
In case peoples don’t know. If I can prove I had the idea before them. the patent office of Canada give 3 years to fill out the application form for a patent pending. So it is not idea is just an ideas. In fact peoples who think that way it is because they copied themselfve an idea from somebody else…
About the kickstarter link. it is not that one. It is another one I had a discussion with Daniel Garcias. I think in Mai or around that month.
This is not just an idea. it is my living. I live from my idea that I make it come true. I take action to make them happen.
The thing is that they use 2812b codes. So I guess only here they can get it. Because the codes was not available before for 2812b.

The only reason I asked which project was it, it’s so none of us try to back it - if it truly is a ripoff of what you’re wanting to create.
