There must be an option for this that I’m not finding. How do I get LaserWeb to make the inner cuts first? For example if I was cutting out a smiley face, to have it cut the eyes and mouth first before cutting the head out so it doesn’t shift? I know I can make cuts either separate svg files or make them different colors in the same svg files and make 2 ops; I’m just wondering if there is an easier option or setting I’m missing. Thanks

I know that you can make a separate paths in your vector graphics program for each shape you don’t need a different SVG for each one then you just drag them down from your file in laser web in the order that you want to cut
I don’t know if there’s a setting where you can drag the entire SVg and it has an algorithm to pick the paths that are in the center of the figure 1st and work it’s way out

The only other thing I can tell you is keep one SVG but separate them into layers and then operations off the layers

Just use operations. Are even more flexible, if you wanna test cutting, or tweak, enable/disable operations to get more control

In my further efforts curiousness on this, I did some tests. It was just a simple key shape with a hole in it at the top (I did a few other shapes too). I was trying out the options of “Laser Cut Outside” and “Laser Cut Inside”. Seems like “Laser Cut Outside” does indeed follow the path of the outside of the key shape, leaving the inside uncut. When I try “Laser Cut Inside” it cuts out the entire shape, inside and outside. I was not using color coding, I was just playing with the operation choices, and I was just guessing what Laser cut inside and outside do.
