There’s a certain level of excitement and disappointment when you’re sitting at the office and receive a text message from DHL that your shipment from Shenzhen has been delivered to your door (that’s both the PCBs that I submitted nine days ago and a reel of 5050BK RGB LEDs.) Also being delivered today are the stencils from OharaRP despite the original notification stating the 17th. Exciting because they’re here. Disappointment because I won’t get home till after 4pm today.
The curse and advantage of working from home. I get the packages, then have to go back to work while they sit there, in my field of view, taunting me, saying “go ahead, just take a peek, you weren’t really going to get anything accomplished today, anyway"
Last time I was home when I received a delivery, I took the package, shut the door and started tearing into it only to hear a knock on the door again: I forgot to actually SIGN for the package. The driver must’ve had some interesting thoughts seeing my crazed face …
