These things are getting smaller and smaller …
I only ever saw the nRF24 modules in this form. Have there been other bigger models?
Yep, earlier versions were larger. Also the RP-SMA ones are larger.
I see. I never needed the extra range of the RP-SMA.
What are you planning to control with these?
Short distance LED installations, controller -> display(s)
But all the connectors are still too big.
Which connectors?
@Ashley_M_Kirchner_No , Ethernet, USB, HDMI, 3.5" audio. I’m just saying that when you consider the size of things like an Arduino and a Raspberry Pi and even smaller stuff, the connectors always look ridiculously huge. Example: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/765
The NrF’s are 8 pins out, no connector…?.?.?
@Ashley_M_Kirchner_No You’re referring to the No.2 pencil right?
Well yeah, that’s kind of a given till the rest of the industry catches up and starts to make those smaller (USB being a good example of that.) However, on that same token, having a large connector isn’t always a bad thing, as is the case with the ME 9210 from Digi where they stuck everything inside of the RJ45 housing: http://www.digi.com/products/wireless-wired-embedded-solutions/solutions-on-module/digi-connect/digiconnectme9210#overview
