@Think3dPrint3d since the head can accurately move outside the build plate area to do z-probe set and reset is there any reason why the build plate isn’t made bigger? The under desk PSU bracket just fit, it would have been nice to have both printing at once.

I’m betting it has more to do with the easy availability of plate glass sizes and shapes.

@paul_wallich it was not that as we get the ALU plates cut to size and glass plates are available in multiple sizes. The circle is the size it is because its “safe” with the Fan mounted on the hotend it a regular size that if kept within the heat should not crash on the towers or belts. That said the build area can be bigger, you just need to be careful not to drive the head too close to the belts and towers.
