this are my creations. i want to say sth about 3D printers. i made some 3D printers, some my design, some with inspiration and help. Make me nervous when i see every one now make a 3D printer (i mean commercially) and every one said “my printer is better then your, we bring that and that” and “and you can buy at only 999” or "2.999 ". the true is: a 3d Printer even cheap if it is assembled in the right way with attention for details and respect for some rules of mecanic and fisic you will have a very good 3D printer. I made printers way much better then some expensive one of not said brands… at a fraction of the cost. for example my last one (the red one…i dont have a name for it yet…some suggestions?) is sth like prusa MK2 which he sell at 999 (tested version) i can sell at 249 euro (maybe i will…) and i am ready to put side by side my printer with MK2 to see which go better… my thoughts are wrong?
What’s the margin and projected sales volume when you say you could sell it at €249?
To be frank, parts you show here don’t compare well with parts I’ve seen come off people’s genuine Prusa i3MK2s. When you do your comparison, I would also expect to see a thermal image of your bed because even bed heating is important for larger parts and for larger platters of parts.
When you see that much acrylic on a printer, you know it’s just gotta be of the highest quality… smh
motedis sell good aluminium profiles at a good price for you
try to make a much better 3d printer instead of a nth prusa clone
Lol. Yes you are terribly wrong about calculating a price to sell something. First I bet you only counted the hardware price. Which is obviously Chinese clones at this $249 price. Good luck handling customer support, clones are the best way to get issues at scale. You didn’t count the hours/electricity/labour spent R&D, printing/assembling/testing the printer (you compared with a Prusa fully built and calibrated at 999). And also any random costs like company charges, certifications to sell, advertising, website, support…
