This is a trick I came up with for construction of a 3D printer. As I dont have a CNC or Lathe yet. I will be making a milling machine of some kind after the printer is done. I’m sure this trick will get used again before I’m done. Sharing here in the hope it can help someone else too.
With this technique I was able to drill a perfecly centered 4.92mm hole in the end of an m8 threaded rod, So I can mount my stepper shaft which is 4.75mm. First time I got 30-40 microns extra play. Second one done in the video came out perfect.
