This is literally the first time I have ever gotten a completed build out of flexible filament. Even crazier is that this was accomplished on a Bowden extruder printer, a delta no less. Using Polymaker PolyFlex with @DAGOMA Neva’s flex filament settings.
In the past, I had some mixed results with MakerFlex on the MP Select Mini and the Robo C2 – usually a few layers would lay down, then the filament would jam in the extruder (e.g., wrapped around the hobbed bolt) or in the hotend. The C2 is direct drive, with very little room for play in the mechanism, and yet it would still jam. PolyFlex seems to have a similar hardness to MakerFlex, or maybe its Mohs hardness is a bit higher, but it seems to work better. Will have to see if PolyFlex prints on the C2. Regardless, Dagoma’s Cura makes it dead simple to print flexible filament because of its pre-installed profile for PolyFlex and its dedicated flex printing mode.
